The sun hasn’t quite made its appearance when I start my commute to our welcoming dispensary in Haverhill. The early morning drive through the Merrimack Valley is peaceful, giving me time to mentally prepare for another day of helping our community.
Opening Procedures: 8:00 AM
First order of business is reviewing our inventory system and ensuring all products are properly stored and displayed. Working in a regulated industry means following strict protocols – something we take seriously at mello. The morning checklist includes:

Customer Education: 10:00 AM
My favorite part of the day is spending time with customers, especially first-time visitors. Whether they’re from Salem, NH, or Plaistow, each person has unique needs and questions. We pride ourselves on providing detailed information about:

• Dosing guidelines
• Safety practices
Afternoon Rush: 2:00 PM
The afternoon brings a steady stream of customers from all over – Amesbury, Merrimac, and Groveland. Each interaction is an opportunity to share knowledge and ensure everyone finds exactly what they’re looking for.
Evening Wind-Down: 7:00 PM
As the day comes to a close, we focus on:
• Updating inventory counts
• Preparing reports
• Cleaning and organizing
• Planning for tomorrow
• Team debriefing
Every day brings new faces and questions, making this role both challenging and rewarding. It’s satisfying knowing we’re helping our community access safe, legal cannabis products while maintaining the highest standards of service and education.
The drive home gives me time to reflect on the day’s interactions and remember why I chose this path – to be part of an evolving industry that prioritizes both wellness and compliance.
